I am writing an essay for a film class on violence towards women in film, specifically the horror genre. I was wondering the response to Hostel 2 and it's violence towards women. Some would says it's extremely misogynistic but I've had others argue that there is just as much violence towards men in other films and lastly others are apathetic. What are your views?
